3-Day Tour Package Itinerary: Cusco & Machu Picchu
Day 1: Arrival in Cusco
Upon landing at the Cusco Airport, a guide will greet you and introduce you to this historic Incan capital. You will then proceed to your hotel located in the heart of the city. After checking in, your journey begins with a guided exploration of Cusco, allowing you to delve into the region's rich pre-Columbian and colonial legacies. You will visit significant sites from the city’s past, including Coricancha, known as "The Golden Courtyard," which served as the principal temple during the reign of the Inca Empire.
Your tour continues at the Plaza de Armas and the Cusco Cathedral, where you can appreciate the local artwork and sculptures housed within the Spanish colonial edifices. Moving beyond the bustling city center, you'll discover the archaeological site of Sacsayhuaman, renowned for its impressive stone constructions predating the Inca Empire. Additional explorations will include the remnants of the Puka Pukara military stronghold, Qenko, one of the largest sacred sites in the Cusco area, and Tambomachay, potentially a religious site dedicated to water.
Later, enjoy a break around 6:30 pm for dinner before returning to your accommodation.
Day 2: Journey to Machu Picchu
After enjoying breakfast at your Cusco hotel, you will embark on an unforgettable adventure to one of Peru's most iconic locations. Your journey commences with a bus ride, followed by a train trip through the breathtaking scenery of the Sacred Valley, leading you to the town of Aguas Calientes. From there, a bus ride up the winding mountain road takes you to the peak, where a brief walk will lead you to the awe-inspiring Machu Picchu Inca citadel.
Once there, take your time exploring this historic wonder. Amble through narrow pathways surrounded by ancient stone structures and religious temples, perched at a stunning altitude of over 2,400 meters (approximately 8,000 feet). It's easy to see why Machu Picchu is revered as one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World, and the captivating charm of this storied site will leave a lasting impression.
Following a two-and-a-half hour guided tour, you will have additional opportunity for photography before departing from this incredible site. The return journey takes you back down to Aguas Calientes, where you can enjoy dinner at your leisure.
Day 3: Return to Cusco
After concluding your tour with breakfast on the final day, gather your belongings as you prepare to head to the Cusco Airport for your return flight home, reflecting on three remarkable days enriched by the exploration of the Inca Empire's historic landmarks.
Accommodation
Your three-day adventure through Cusco and Machu Picchu includes two nights of lodging with breakfast provided. You can select from four accommodation categories (basic, economy, tourist, or superior), with the following hotel options available:
- Basic: Villa San Blas, Andean Dream
- Economy: Aranjuez, El Puma, Andariego
- Tourist: Yawar Inka, Tandapata Boutique, San Agustin Internacional
- Superior: San Agustin Plaza/Dorado, Jose Antonio, Tierra Viva Centro/Plaza/Saphi
Children Under 3
Children under the age of 3 can participate free of charge, provided they share a bed with their parents and sit on their lap during both train and bus transfers.
Important Information
Your tour includes a pickup service from Cusco Airport prior to noon, ensuring a timely start to your adventure. It’s advisable to book a flight that arrives early enough to allow for arrival at the meeting point.
Should any strikes or inclement weather lead to the cancellation of the tour, alternative dates will be offered. If rescheduling is not feasible, you will receive a full refund for the tour fee, except for the Machu Picchu entrance fee (200 PEN), which is non-refundable.
Due to the popularity of Machu Picchu, tickets may occasionally sell out. In such cases, alternative arrangements will be proposed.

Important Info
If the activity is canceled due to strikes or unfavorable weather conditions, we’ll offer you an alternative date to take the tour. If it can’t be rescheduled, please note that you’ll receive a full refund for the activity, except for the admission tickets to Machu Picchu (approximately PEN200), which are non-refundable.
Occasionally, due to high demand, admission tickets to Machu Picchu may sell out. In that case, we’ll offer an alternative route.
Children Under 3
Children under 3 years old can join free of charge, but they’ll sleep in the same bed as their parents and must sit on their lap during train and bus transfers.
