Depart on a high-speed train from Florence-Santa Maria Novella Station at the indicated time. The 1.5-hour journey concludes at Roma-Termini station, where you will proceed to the Colosseum for a guided tour of the Colosseum, Forum, and Palatine Hill.
The 2.5-hour walking tour starts at the Colosseum with admission included. Discover the ancient stands of the Flavian Amphitheater and learn about the gladiator fights.
Proceed to Palatine Hill to view the exterior of ancient emperors' houses, near the Circus Maximus, known for chariot races.
Continue with a walk through the Imperial Forum, observing the remains of the Forum of Augustus and Trajan.
After the tour, you may explore Rome at your leisure, with suggestions to visit Piazza Navona, the Trevi Fountain, St. Peter's Basilica, or the Trastevere neighborhood. Your free time will be influenced by your chosen return train to Florence.
Train Schedules
Times are approximate. Reservation confirmation will include exact times and train tickets, which you must print and present at Florence-Santa Maria Novella station at least 30 minutes prior to departure.
For the return to Florence, arrive at Rome Termini Station at least half an hour before the train departs.

The times indicated are approximate. Within 24 hours of booking, the local supplier will email you with your train tickets and instructions to follow, as well as the specific times for your excursion to Rome.
There will be no assistance at the station in Florence: you will have to board the train on your own. We recommend arriving at Santa Maria Novella station at least 30 minutes before the train's departure. The information panel with that reads "Partenze" will show the platform (Binario or Bin) from which your train will depart. Once on the platform, you must locate your car (Carrozza) and, inside it, your seat (Posto).
Once you arrive at the Roma-Termini station, you will have to make your way to the Colosseum, where the guide will be waiting for you at the ticket office to begin the tour. You will receive all the relevant instructions in the email from the local supplier.
The best way to get from Roma-Termini station to the Colosseum is by metro line B2. There are only two stops between the two stations!
