Our adventure begins at 10 am at the Campo Charro Jalisco cultural center in Guadalajara. Here, we will embark on a captivating journey into the world of charrería or charreada, an equestrian sport recognized as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Accompanied by genuine charro horsemen, we will explore the charrería museum, which hosts traditional attire, saddles, and distinctive metalwork associated with this art form. Through our visit, we will gain insight into the origins of this activity in Mexico, its evolution across the years, and the etymology of the term "charro."

Following our museum exploration, we will witness demonstrations of the nine distinct events known as suertes. These showcase skills such as reining, heeling, steer tailing, and the daring "pass of death," where one expertly leaps from one horse to another to mount an unbroken stallion. Additionally, attendees will have the chance to mount the horses themselves, experiencing the thrill of being a charro firsthand!

We will also discuss the bond between charros and their horses and have the unique opportunity to converse with a group of charros about their performances and traditions.

To round off our immersion into this rich Jalisco heritage, a tequila toast will celebrate our discoveries—cheers!

By 2 pm, we'll return to our initial meeting point, having enjoyed a memorable and enriching experience.
