Hiking to Secret Waterfall

During this excursion to the Secret Waterfall, participants will traverse through stunning canyons, meandering streams, and lush Andean jungle vegetation, culminating in a visit to this concealed natural gem located along the Pastales trail.

Exploration of the Secret Waterfall

Your adventure begins with a pickup at your hotel in Ibagué at 7 am, followed by a journey to the Pastales trail, situated adjacent to the Combeima River.

Upon arrival at the trailhead, the path will guide us through the lush high Andean jungle and navigate through a scenic canyon. As we hike, there’s a chance to glimpse the breathtaking profile of the Tolima snow-capped mountain, depending on the weather.

Our journey involves ascending steep inclines, reaching an impressive altitude of 6,332 ft (1,930 meters)! This moderate hike spans a total distance of 3.7 miles (6 km).

Along the banks of the Combeima River, a hidden gem awaits: the Secret Waterfall! This serene setting offers a perfect opportunity for a refreshing swim post-hike. Additionally, we will discover three smaller waterfalls, each boasting its unique charm.

Following a brief snack break, we will board the bus for our return journey to Ibagué, with an expected drop-off at your hotel around 12:30 pm.
