Kanazawa Private Tour
Descrizione
This exclusive private tour of Kanazawa offers you the chance to explore the city with a dedicated English-speaking guide, allowing you to delve into the captivating eras of Japan's Geishas and Samurais.
Kanazawa Private Tour
At the scheduled time, we will either pick you up from your hotel or meet you at the tourist information center in Kanazawa to commence this personalized journey.
Your adventure begins at the iconic Kanazawa train station, where its distinctive wooden entrance exemplifies the brilliance of Japanese architecture. Next, we’ll visit the Omicho Market, an essential hub for local goods since the Edo period. Here, you can explore stalls brimming with fresh fish, seafood, seasonal fruits, vegetables, and delectable sweets.
Following our market exploration, we will journey to Higashi Chaya, renowned as Japan's premier geisha district. As we wander through its picturesque streets dotted with traditional tea houses, you will feel the charm of this historical area. Our itinerary then leads us to Kanazawa Castle, erected in the 16th century by Toshiee Maeda, the founder of the Maeda clan. Within the castle grounds, you can find the Gyokusen’inmaru, a delightful Japanese garden once used by the Maeda clan for tea gatherings.
The next highlight will be the Oyama Shrine, a significant Shinto site linked to the Maeda lineage. We will then proceed to Kenrokuen Gardens, celebrated as one of Japan's top three gardens. While meandering through serene lakes, winding paths, and elegant bridges, you will be captivated by the garden's exquisite flora.
Our tour continues to the Nagamachi district, historically the residence of samurais. You will gain insights into the lives of these legendary warriors who thrived from the 12th to the 19th century, providing a glimpse into their intriguing past.
To conclude our day, we will visit the Nishi Chaya District, another famous geisha area filled with charming two-story wooden structures and atmospheric tea houses. As night falls, the sounds of traditional melodies from string instruments fill the air, creating a mesmerizing environment.
After approximately eight hours of exploration, we will return you to the original meeting point. We look forward to seeing you again!
