Embark on an incredible journey to Lake Titicaca and Moon Island departing from La Paz. At this revered lake of Bolivia, striking natural features blend seamlessly with the enchanting remnants of the ancient Incan civilization.

Trip to Lake Titicaca and Moon Island

The adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your accommodation in La Paz. Following this, we will board our shared transportation and traverse the breathtaking landscapes of Bolivia, leading us to our first destination: the charming town of Copacabana located on the banks of Lake Titicaca.

Upon arrival, we will embark on a boat journey across the pristine waters of the Sacred Lake, making our way to Moon Island (Isla de la Luna), a site of great significance for the Inca culture. Here, stories and legends related to this enchanting land will be unveiled.

As we explore the Island of the Moon, noted for its sacred ties to the Inca civilization, we will discover various myths and learn about the current inhabitants and their everyday lives on this island.

Our exploration will include insights into the vital role women played on this island during pre-Columbian times. This will occur as we trek along the Warmi Thakhi (Women's Path) and visit the notable Iñac Uyu temple.

Before we head back to Copacabana, there will be an opportunity to engage with the local community and appreciate their traditional crafts. This experience will also offer an overview of the evolution of the indigenous peoples surrounding Lake Titicaca up to the present. All of this unfolds against the magnificent backdrop of one of the largest and highest lakes worldwide.

Ultimately, we will return to Copacabana navigating through Lake Titicaca, followed by our journey back to La Paz.
