Activity Overview

Your experience begins with a pick-up from your accommodation in Levi, followed by a scenic 45-minute drive to Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park. Are you prepared to uncover one of the most iconic landscapes of Lapland?

Upon arrival at the trailhead, we will assemble our gear for an engaging 6-kilometer (3.7-mile) hike. The path leads us through lush pine, spruce, and Arctic birch forests, weaving across stretches of taiga and serene frozen lakes.

After approximately a 1.5-kilometer (0.93-mile) stroll, we'll reach a lovely spot where we can ignite a campfire and enjoy a light lunch that includes sausages and a traditional smoked cheese cake, complemented by a choice of coffee, tea, hot chocolate, juice, or water.

With our hunger satisfied, we will proceed along the trail, taking in the sights of intriguing flora such as dwarf birch, Lapland willowherb, lingonberry, and bearberry. Additionally, we will pause for photography opportunities to capture the enchanting frosty scenery and the shimmering glow of winter.

Ultimately, we will retrace our steps back to our vehicle and commence the ride back to your hotel in Levi, concluding our 4-hour and 30-minute expedition.

Pickup Information

The tour offers hotel pickup from central Levi. If your accommodation is located outside this area, you will need to make your way to Myllyjoentie, situated next to the Levi Tourist Information Office.
