Private Historical Tour of Manama
We'll meet you at your hotel in Manama at 9 am to commence our journey through the city's storied past. This excursion allows you to delve into pivotal locations from the ancient eras alongside a rich tapestry of local customs.
Your first destination will be the Bahrain Military Museum, where we will uncover the nation's extensive history, spanning from Ahmed the Conqueror to the evolution of modern military forces.
Next, we will visit Riffa Fort, an ancient stronghold known as Sheikh Salman bin Ahmed Fort. Constructed in the 19th century, this site offers one of the most stunning panoramas of the Hunanaiya Valley.
Our journey continues at a pottery workshop, where you will observe the traditional crafting of pottery, including pots and plates, using ancient kiln techniques that have been inherited through generations.
Following this, we will travel outside Manama to the city of A'ali, home to the historic tombs of the Dilmun civilization. Our final stop will be the renowned Al Khamis Mosque, a significant site among the oldest in the area.
After approximately four hours, we will return you to your hotel in Manama, culminating an enriching excursion into the city’s heritage.
