Rio Negro 4 or 5-Day Tour

Discover the Amazonian area of Lago Acajatuba on this 4 or 5-day journey along the Rio Negro, where you will visit a local community and embark on jungle hiking adventures.

Trip Overview

Day 1

We will gather at the Saint Paul Hotel in Manaus, after which we will embark on a tour of the city, exploring highlights such as the Museo de la Amazonía, the Teatro Amazonas, and the Meeting of the Waters.

You will have the remainder of the day free to wander around Manaus at your leisure.

Day 2

After a delightful breakfast, we will proceed to the hostel that will be our base for the coming days, where a regional lunch awaits you.

Relax in your accommodation until the evening, when we will enjoy the sunset from a floating platform while sampling traditional fried piranha from the Amazon.

Day 3

In the early morning, we will travel to the banks of the Rio Negro to board canoes and set off to a special location to witness the sunrise, an ideal moment for reflection.

After returning to the village for breakfast, we will prepare for an adventure in search of pink dolphins. These charming mammals can be found swimming in the river's coastal waters, and we will gain insights into their behaviors, feeding habits, and reproductive practices.

Following a hearty lunch, we will engage in a craft workshop and visit the chelonian preservation initiative, dedicated to the distinctive, broad-shelled turtles. A perfect conclusion to an exciting day!

Day 4

Post-breakfast, we will hold a farewell discussion with the Lago Acajatuba community. Subsequently, we will make our way back to Manaus via the scenic Rio Negro.

We expect to arrive at the Manaus International Airport around 5 PM, where we will bid you farewell as you prepare for your onward journey.

5-Day Tour

Opting for the extended tour allows you to experience the same itinerary with the added benefit of one more day in the Amazon, maximizing your encounter with this breathtaking environment.

Under this option, we will return to Manaus by noon.
