We will gather at the Santissima Annunziata dei Catalani Church at the designated time, marking the beginning of our Segway adventure through Messina, situated in the northeast region of Sicily.

Our journey starts along via Castello a mare, also known as Castellamare, leading us to Piazza Cairoli, a bustling commercial hub of the city. Continuing from here, we will traverse Piazza Pugliatti, where the courthouse and university stand.

Next, we will arrive at Piazza Duomo, home to some of Messina's most iconic landmarks, including the Orion fountain, the Cathedral, and its distinctive clock tower. You might be intrigued to learn that the bronze statues here come to life with movement when the celestial clock strikes the hour.

As we glide past baroque fountains and neoclassical churches, we will reach the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele III, known for its vibrant atmosphere. Our ascent will take us to the Church of Montalto, where you can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of Messina.

While making our way down, we will pass by the medieval Church of St. Francis of Assisi and the baroque Palace of Monte di Pietà, which suffered damage during the catastrophic earthquake of 1908. Our next destination will be Piazza Unità d'Italia, the site of both the Government Palace and the impressive fountain of Neptune, crafted by Florentine sculptor Giovanni Angelo Montorsoli.
