Lucca and Pisa Day Trip Itinerary
Your day begins with a bus pickup at the designated meeting point, followed by a journey to Pisa, one of Italy's iconic destinations. Upon arrival, you'll embark on a guided tour of the historic centre.
Walk through the renowned Piazza dei Miracoli and admire its significant monuments, including St. John's Baptistry, the cemetery, the Cathedral, and, of course, the famous leaning tower. This is your perfect chance to capture that iconic photo with the tower! After the tour, you'll have free time to explore the charming streets of Pisa or even climb the tower if you choose.
Next, board the bus to Lucca, a city celebrated for its completely intact medieval walls and historic centre. You'll learn that Lucca was once an independent republic for 50 years. During your stay, a guided tour will include highlights such as the Amphitheatre Square, the Giunigi Tower, and the San Martino Cathedral.
Before returning to Montecatini, enjoy the exquisite Buccellato, a traditional sweet treat from Lucca made with almond-filled dough.
