Our day begins at 9 am with a pickup from your hotel in Negombo, from which we will embark on a journey to Colombo, located just 40 minutes away along the picturesque west coast of Sri Lanka.
We will first stop at Beira Lake, where the Gangarama Temple awaits. Here, you'll discover the smallest Buddha statue in existence. Next, we will visit the Sri Kailawasanathan Devasthanam Swami Kovil, commonly known as the Hindu Temple of Colombo, famous for its intricate and stunning sculptures.
As we continue our adventure, we will arrive at Independence Square, celebrating the pivotal moment of Sri Lanka's liberation from British rule in 1948. Close by, the impressive Colombo Lotus Tower rises to a height of 350 meters, serving as a significant telecommunications landmark.
Your journey will lead us to one final stop—the remarkable Aukana Buddha Statue replica, renowned as the tallest Buddha statue in the nation. While appreciating its grand stature, you'll delve into the history behind this iconic figure, which has garnered widespread recognition. Finally, we will take a leisurely stroll through the bustling bazaars.
The excursion concludes as we return to your hotel in Negombo by 3 pm.
