Private Udawalawe Day Excursion
Your journey begins with a 7 am pickup from your hotel in Negombo, as we travel towards the enchanting interior of Sri Lanka, the territory of the renowned Udawalawe elephants.
Throughout our exploration of this natural habitat, you'll have the opportunity to observe herds of elephants in their natural surroundings. These magnificent Asian elephants frequent the area’s lagoons, using them as a water source and a place to rejuvenate after their long treks. As we marvel at these incredible animals, you will learn interesting facts about them and how to differentiate them from their African counterparts.
Next, we will visit the Udawalawe Dam. This impressive hydroelectric facility, operational since 1969, provides essential drinking water to the nearby communities. You'll be astonished by its scale and significance! Following this, we'll proceed to the town of Udawalawe, where you will have an hour of leisure time to enjoy lunch.
After visiting additional points of interest in the region, we will return to your hotel in Negombo, concluding the tour around 7 pm.
