Visiting Hours

The Musée d'Orsay? is accessible during the following hours:

• Tuesday to Sunday: 9:30 am to 6 pm, with the final entry at 5 pm.
• Thursdays: extended hours until 9:45 pm, with the last admission at 9 pm. Notably, on July 18, August 1, August 8, and August 15, the museum is open from 9:30 am to 6 pm, forgoing evening hours.

Holiday Schedule: On December 24 and December 31, the museum will close at 5 pm with the last entry to exhibitions at 4 pm. Galleries will commence closing at 4:30 pm. The museum will not open on December 25 and January 1.

Current Exhibitions

Your ticket permits access to all exhibitions, albeit without priority entry, which means you may encounter wait times if you choose to see the temporary exhibitions.

Free Admission Policy

Admission to the Musée d'Orsay in Paris is complimentary for the following groups:

• Individuals under 18 years old.
• Young adults from the European Union aged between 18 and 25.
• Visitors with disabilities accompanied by an assistant.

Additionally, everyone can enter free of charge on the first Sunday of each month, though prior reservation is necessary to attend.

Renovation Details

From March 10, 2026, until the summer of 2028, significant renovation works will be undertaken at the Musée d'Orsay, focusing on enhancing visitor reception spaces. This initiative aims to improve visitor experience and lessen the environmental impact of the building.

The museum and its exhibitions will continue to welcome the public during regular hours throughout the renovations. However, be aware of the temporary entrance located at Entrance 2.
