We will convene at the heart of Peratallada at the scheduled time, marking the beginning of this walking tour through one of the most charming villages in Bajo Ampurdán. Let's embark on this adventure!
As we navigate this town, officially acknowledged as a historical and artistic heritage site, you will uncover its stunning array of buildings and residences. The medieval quarter of Peratallada stands out as one of the best-preserved in Catalonia. Strolling along the cobblestone lanes is akin to stepping back into an era dominated by nobility and knights. Its enchanting atmosphere is unforgettable!
On this complimentary tour, our path takes us to the Peratallada Castle, where artifacts from the Pre-Romanesque period were uncovered during renovations in 1969. Continuing our journey, we will pass by the Portal de la Virgen en route to the Torre del Homenaje and the Torre de las Horas. At this location, you will ascend to capture breathtaking views of this picturesque settlement. Be sure to take a moment for a photograph!
Our tour will conclude at the historic Plaza del Mercado Square, also referred to as the Plaça de les Voltes, which has served as the center of life in Peratallada for generations. To enhance this experience, we will engage with the vibrant cultural traditions that contribute to the unique identity of this town.
After a 1.5-hour exploration of Peratallada’s hidden gems, we will part ways in Plaça de les Voltes.
