Tour Highlights
Upon our arrival at the port of Marsa, a bus will be ready to transport us to Valletta, Malta's capital, which is merely 15 minutes away.
In Valletta, we'll embark on a guided walking tour. As we navigate the narrow streets, distinctive colorful wooden balconies will catch our eye, a hallmark of Maltese design.
During the city exploration, designated as a World Heritage Site, we will admire the facade of St. John's Co-Cathedral, renowned for featuring masterpieces by Caravaggio, including the renowned The Beheading of Saint John the Baptist. Another significant site is the Grand Master's Palace, once home to the leaders of the Order of Malta.
While strolling through Valletta, we will also encounter captivating squares like Republic Square and St George's Square. Here, we can immerse ourselves in the lively atmosphere. The Upper Barrakka Gardens offers breathtaking views of the Grand Harbour, the Three Cities, and Valletta's formidable walls.
After concluding the guided portion of our journey, you'll have an hour of free time to capture memories through photographs and taste some traditional local dishes. We will reconvene at the designated time to proceed to Mdina, approximately 40 minutes from Valletta.
Upon reaching our next destination, we will pass through the Mdina Gate, a striking Baroque entrance marking the city's threshold. As we step through, it may feel as if we've stepped back into Malta's medieval era.
Mdina, often referred to as the "Silent City", is known for its peaceful streets. We will visit St. Paul's Cathedral, an impressive Baroque structure built atop an earlier church, representing a key aspect of Malta's religious and architectural heritage.
As we explore further, we'll admire the elegant palaces of Malta's historic aristocracy, many of which maintain their original allure. Afterward, you will enjoy an hour of free time to delve deeper into the city's charm. We suggest heading to the walls of Mdina for panoramic views that stretch across the island, from the tranquil interiors to the coastline.
Finally, we will journey back to the port of Marsa by bus. From there, we will board the ferry to return to Pozzallo, culminating a comprehensive tour of approximately 10 hours.
