Activity Overview

Your adventure begins with a pickup from your accommodation in Punta Cana, followed by a smooth transfer to the Oliver & Oliver Rum House, renowned as one of the top rum producers in the Dominican Republic.

Upon arrival, immerse yourself in the rich history of Dominican rum and the heritage of the Oliver & Oliver company. You'll get an insider’s view of the meticulous process of rum aging, particularly the solera method, where barrels are arranged to allow the liquid to flow naturally between them over time.

After witnessing this age-old technique, indulge in a tasting session featuring molasses and freshly pressed sugarcane juice. This will reveal the essential ingredients involved in the production of rum through fermentation and distillation. Plus, you'll learn the art of preparing your own juice.

The pinnacle of this experience is a curated tasting of four distinct rums from the Oliver & Oliver collection. You'll sample a range of premium aged rums over 25 years, including selections like Cubaney Centenario, Unhiq XO, Opthimus, and Punta Cana XOX, or other comparable rums from their lineup.

To complement the tasting, enjoy a delightful pairing of cheese, crackers, and chocolate with 70% cocoa, designed to enhance and elevate the rum's diverse flavors.

Following the tasting experience, you will be returned to your hotel, wrapping up a journey lasting approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
