Embark on a sunset boat journey to witness the breathtaking beauty of the northern coast of São Miguel. Departing from Rabo de Peixe, we'll navigate towards some of the island's most spectacular cliffs and sea caves while the sun casts golden hues across the sky. Prepare to be captivated!
Activity Details
We'll convene at the Rabo de Peixe port at the scheduled time. After a short introduction, we'll board our vessel and commence this sunset boat journey along São Miguel’s picturesque northern coastline. Let’s begin our adventure!
In the initial phase of our route, enjoy captivating views of Ribeira Grande, renowned for its serene beaches and tranquil ambiance. From the boat, gaze at the striking contrast between the lush landscapes of the island and the deep azure of the Atlantic.
As we proceed, we’ll navigate towards the majestic cliffs of Ponta do Cintrão and Ponta do Ermo, shaped over centuries by the relentless waves. This region is part of the Fogo Volcanic Complex, where you’ll encounter natural caves and observe seabirds nesting on the cliffs—a true marvel of nature!
Our journey will take us to the historic Port of Santa Iria. Should the sea conditions permit, we will pause to enjoy a swim in the crystal-clear waters and take a moment to unwind. During this interlude, you can savor rosé wine, tea, or water, accompanied by biscuits crafted from local ingredients as you watch the sun set over the ocean.
On our way back to Rabo de Peixe, we will sail towards the sun, ensuring that the coastal scenery during this enchanting hour is a fitting conclusion to our time on the northern shores of São Miguel.
We will conclude our adventure at the port after 2.5 hours of exploring one of the most stunning regions in the Azores archipelago.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes in advance.
