At your chosen time, we will convene at the Portale di San Giorgio to embark on a customized tour of Ragusa's historic center, all set for an exclusive exploration of this southeastern Sicilian jewel.

Our journey begins with a view of the stunning Gothic-Catalan style entrance, emblematic of Ragusa, where we'll focus on its central relief that illustrates the legendary battle between St. George and the dragon. It's intriguing to note that this was one of the few structures that withstood the earthquake that devastated the area.

Just a short walk away lies the Giardino Ibleo, the oldest public garden in the town, which offers panoramic views of both the Irminio Valley and the Iblei Mountains. Within this tranquil refuge, we'll encounter cascades of fountains, a palm-lined promenade featuring 50 tall trees, and an elegant balustrade surrounding the garden.

Subsequently, we will proceed to the Church of San Giacomo, known for its wooden ceiling, Corinthian columns, stunning statues, and exquisite paintings, before wandering past refined palaces and shops offering Sicilian ceramics and artisanal crafts.

Next, we’ll stop by the Circolo di Conversazione, often referred to as the Caffè dei Cavalieri. This sophisticated neoclassical structure from the 19th century was a prominent social hub for the local aristocracy. Its exterior showcases beautiful frescoes, glimmering chandeliers, and ornate mirrors.

The tour concludes with an interior visit to the San Giorgio Cathedral, a key landmark of Ragusa and a prime example of Sicilian Baroque architecture, also recognized as part of the UNESCO World Heritage List!
