Interestingly, these vibrant buses first appeared in the early 1900s to address transport needs in rural Colombia. They gained popularity due to their capability to navigate challenging road conditions and serve as a collective transport solution connecting various towns and villages. With time, particularly in tourist hotspots, they became affectionately referred to as “chivas rumberas”, designed for celebratory excursions.

Throughout the 2-hour journey, we will cruise through the principal streets of the El Rodadero area, with Caribbean tunes elevating the ambiance as we dance on the bus floor.
