Picos de Europa & Potes Day Trip
Descrizione
Embark on a journey through the stunning landscapes of Cantabria as we explore the magnificent Picos de Europa. This day trip will also take us to the charming village of Potes. Join us in this captivating adventure!
Picos de Europa & Potes Excursion
After picking you up from your designated meeting point, we will commence our exploration of Cantabria. The adventure begins as we traverse rivers, forests, and quaint villages surrounding the La Hermida Gorge.
Our initial destination is the Monastery of Santo Toribio de Liébana. This site is notable as one of the four Holy Places of Christianity, housing the Lignum Crucis, the largest known fragment of the Cross of Jesus Christ. Following a brief history session about the monastery, we'll proceed to the viewpoint at the San Miguel Hermitage, where breathtaking vistas of the Picos de Europa await.
Next, we will travel to Fuente Dé, where you will enjoy 1 hour and 30 minutes of leisure time. This is an excellent opportunity to take a ride on the famous Picos de Europa cable car or indulge in some horse riding within this splendid natural setting.
Our following stop will be the delightful municipality of Potes, the capital of the Liébana region, often celebrated as one of the most picturesque villages in Spain. Discover the Infantado Tower, explore its enchanting bridges, and stroll along its charming cobblestone streets.
You'll have approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes to enjoy lunch in Potes before we take a brief guided walk through the village. We will then make our way back to the various meeting points, expected to arrive between 6 and 6:30 pm.
