Sierra Gorda Tour

Join us on this exploratory journey through the Sierra Gorda, a region celebrated for its stunning natural beauty and designated as a Biosphere Reserve, as we set off from Santiago de Querétaro.

Tour Overview

At the scheduled time, we will depart from your accommodation in Santiago de Querétaro towards the picturesque Sierra Gorda, renowned for its verdant landscapes.

Our adventure begins with a visit to a rugged location at the mountains' base. Here, we will embark on a 1-hour hike leading us to the Cuatro Palos or Cristal viewpoint, where we can admire stunning views of the Sierra Gorda's breathtaking scenery.

Following this, we'll head to the Puerta del Cielo Viewpoint for a different vantage point of the majestic mountains. After soaking in the landscape, we'll continue our journey to Pinal de Amoles, a historic mining town located at the Sierra Gorda's foothills, where we will enjoy a guided exploration of its rich history and cultural significance.

After learning about the town, we will proceed to the banks of the Escanela River for a 45-minute hike. Along the way, we will encounter notable sites in the Sierra Gorda, including the Angostura Canyon and the Bridge of God.

Upon our return to Pinal de Amoles, you will have one hour to enjoy lunch. Afterward, we will regroup and make our way back to your hotel in Santiago de Querétaro, with an expected arrival time between 4 and 6 pm.

The tour includes pickup from accommodations in the historic center of Santiago de Querétaro. If your lodging is located outside this area, please make your way to the meeting point at calle Independencia 64C.
