Day Trip to Blue Pond in Hokkaido

We will gather at Sapporo Station at the designated time and embark on a 2.5-hour bus journey to experience a day filled with nature's beauty. Are you ready to discover the Hokkaido flower fields?

As we depart from Sapporo, we will travel along the Hokkaido Biei Sky, heralded as one of Japan's most scenic routes. We’ll traverse the famed Roller Coaster Road, taking in breathtaking views of the stunning surroundings.

Our first stop will be the Blue Pond, located near Biei city. We’ll be captivated by the striking blue hue of its waters while discussing the various theories regarding the origin of this remarkable color. The mystery remains unsolved!

Afterward, we will indulge in a complimentary buffet featuring a selection of traditional Japanese cuisine. Revitalized, we will continue our journey to either Shikisai-no-oka or Tomita Farm, depending on availability. In either case, the vibrant flower fields of Hokkaido will undoubtedly take center stage.

If we visit Shikisai-no-oka, we’ll wander through a valley where colors interweave into an array of shapes and formations. Should we choose Tomita Farm, we will explore one of Japan’s oldest flower fields, boasting over 150 different flower varieties.

To conclude our day, we’ll visit the Ningle Terraces, a quaint village of wooden houses where local artisans offer their unique creations.

Finally, we will make our way back to Sapporo, concluding our 10-hour adventure filled with sightseeing.

Tomita Farm or Shikisai-no-oka

Depending on the day of the excursion, we will visit either Tomita Farm or Shikisai-no-oka:

• Tomita Farm: Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays
• Shikisai-no-oka: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays
