Plitvice Lakes National Park Experience

We'll convene at the designated meeting point at Obala Hrvatskog narodnog preporoda 21 in Split, where our adventure begins. We'll journey from the Adriatic coastline into the heart of the stunning Lika region.

Upon our arrival at Plitvice Lakes National Park, our first destination, we'll embark on a guided walk through the picturesque wooden paths that link 16 distinct lakes, enchanting forests, and captivating waterfalls. Be prepared to be amazed by the remarkable splendor of this protected area, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You'll witness waterfalls tumbling into vivid blue pools, contrasting beautifully with the rich green surroundings.

Following the walk, we'll take to the water with a boat ride on the Plitvice Lakes, after which you'll board an electric train for a return trip to the park's entrance. Throughout this journey, your knowledgeable guide will share insights into the remarkable biodiversity of the region, revealing details about local flora and fauna, including brown bears, wolves, eagles, and wild cats.

Next, we’ll head to a nearby town where you can enjoy lunch. After your meal, we’ll return to Split, concluding a day filled with exploration and discovery.

Children under 3

Due to the length of the excursion, we advise against participation for children under 3 years old. Additionally, small children must sit on their parent's lap during transfers.

Itinerary Modifications

During the peak season, we may adjust the boat journey to a shorter experience, allowing us to explore the park in reverse order to avoid extended queues exceeding an hour. This ensures you can enjoy the entirety of the park with fewer crowds.
