Day Trip Overview

Your adventure begins with a pick-up from your Tirana hotel at 8 am, followed by a scenic drive southward toward Berat, renowned as the city of a thousand windows. After approximately two hours on the road, we will reach our destination.

Our first destination will be the majestic Berat Castle, which sits atop a hill. Enjoy an insightful guided tour of this remarkable fortress that houses churches, lookout points, and quaint eateries, preserving the essence of the ancient city. As we walk along its winding paths, we’ll delve into its rich history — did you know it fell to flames at the hands of the Romans in 200 BC?

Following our exploration of the castle, you'll have some leisure time to wander through Berat's traditional districts and enjoy lunch at your discretion. We suggest visiting several of its notable churches and mosques, including the Lead Mosque, King Mosque, and Bachelor’s Mosque. Additionally, you may take this time to discover the Onufri Museum at your own pace, if you wish.

After our free time, we will convene and proceed to the Gorica Bridge, a stunning structure that spans the Osum River and stands as a key emblem of Berat.

In conclusion, we will make our way back to Tirana, with an estimated drop-off at your hotel around 3 pm.
