You must present a valid ID for security controls at the entrance of the Basilica.
Please keep in mind that when entering St. Mark's Basilica, shoulders and knees must be covered. Sleeveless shirts, shorts or miniskirts are not allowed.
Please note that during certain times of the year, high tides can occur. In this case, elevated walkways are installed to allow access and disposable shoe covers can be purchased in front of the entrance.
