Itinerary

Expect to be picked up from your hotel at the arranged time as your journey to Ibiraçu begins. Prepare to behold the largest Buddha statue in the West!

Upon arrival, your first stop will be the Portal do Buddhista square, home to remarkable attractions including the magnificent giant Buddha, the renowned Torii square, and the fifteen meditating Buddhas surrounded by the Grove of Wisdom.

The Giant Buddha Statue measures an impressive 38 meters (124.67 feet), ranking it among the largest Buddha statues globally, second only to the one in Hong Kong. Remarkably, it exceeds the height of Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro!

Your exploration will continue as you wander through the area. Next, you'll visit Torii Square, established in 2004 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Zen Morro da Vargem Monastery. This location serves as a tranquil space for meditation. Here, you'll also see the grand Torii gate, symbolizing the connection between Eastern and Western cultures.

The tour also includes a stop at the fifteen meditating Buddhas, embodiments of the tranquility to embrace during challenging times.

After spending around an hour exploring the extraordinary Ibiraçu, you'll return to the initial meeting point. The entire experience will conclude roughly four hours from the start time.
