Nestled in the vibrant Saadiyat Cultural District of Abu Dhabi, the Zayed National Museum is recognized as one of the most iconic architectural landmarks in the United Arab Emirates. We're excited to welcome you!

Created by the esteemed design firm Foster and Partners, the museum’s architecture draws inspiration from the soaring wings of a falcon, a creature that holds significant meaning in Emirati culture. The structure comprises five sleek towers that not only serve as a striking visual element but also function as thermal chimneys, facilitating passive cooling of the interior spaces. This innovative design pays homage to traditional badgirs found in Gulf architecture.

Your access to the Zayed National Museum grants you entry to its six galleries arranged in chronological order. Here, you will delve into topics ranging from the earliest settlements in the region to the establishment of the modern nation under the guidance of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

As you navigate through climate-controlled display cases, immersive installations, and interactive exhibits, you will encounter archaeological artifacts, manuscripts, and ethnographic items that reflect the social, economic, and environmental shifts over time. The Zayed National Museum welcomes visitors during the following hours:

Monday to Friday: 10:00 am to 6:30 pm
Saturday and Sunday: 10:00 am to 8:30 pm

Please note that the last admission is allowed one hour prior to closing.

Large bags (over 55 x 38 x 20 cm) are not allowed and must be stored in the cloakroom or left outside the venue
