Ticket Details
The Royal Château de Blois rises proudly above the Loire River, embodying a critical piece of French history spanning from the 13th to the 18th centuries. This impressive structure showcases an intriguing blend of architectural styles, including Gothic, Baroque, and French Renaissance. By purchasing this skip-the-line ticket, you are invited to explore its diverse rooms at your leisure, gaining insights into its historical journey.
This château has strong ties with seven kings and ten queens of France, and it is divided into four principal sections: the remnants of the medieval fortress, and the wings associated with Louis XII, François I, and Gaston d'Orléans. Within these areas, you can admire the royal quarters, each reflecting the distinct tastes of the monarchs throughout history.
The oratory and the Council Chamber are also noteworthy stops, as they were designed to host leaders who came to Blois for significant international treaty discussions concerning the kingdom.
Be sure to visit the château’s iconic staircase, a renowned helical design adorned with numerous Renaissance sculptures. Discover the meanings behind these remarkable artistic pieces during your exploration! This staircase is celebrated among the most recognizable features of the Châteaux of the Loire Valley, alongside those in Chambord.
