Château de Blois Ticket
Description
Situated in the center of the Loire Valley, the Château de Blois holds significant importance in French history. Its vast collection will surely impress you!
Entrance Information
The Royal Château de Blois rises prominently above the Loire River and serves as an essential monument for uncovering the history of France from the 13th to the 18th centuries. This remarkable edifice features an eclectic mix of architectural styles, showcasing Gothic, Baroque, and French Renaissance influences. With this skip-the-line access, you'll have the opportunity to explore its various rooms at your own pace, immersing yourself in its rich history.
Connecting the legacy of seven kings and ten queens, the Château de Blois is organized into four distinct sections: remnants of the ancient medieval fortress and the wings of Louis XII, François I, and Gaston d'Orléans. Each section features the royal quarters adorned according to the preferences of different French monarchs.
A visit here is incomplete without seeing the oratory and the Council Chamber, both designed to host leaders negotiating crucial international treaties with France.
Be sure to admire the château's notable staircase! This renowned helical staircase showcases various Renaissance sculptures. During your visit, discover the meanings behind these artistic representations. Alongside those at Chambord, this staircase ranks among the most iconic steps found in the Châteaux of the Loire Valley.
