Details of the Tour

Your journey begins at the appointed time at the entrance of the Burmester winery, celebrated as one of the notable wineries in Vila Nova de Gaia. Commencing with a guided exploration, you'll discover the processes behind the crafting of Port and Douro DOC wines.

An expert in viticulture will share insights into the legacy of Henry Burmester, the founder who played a pivotal role in popularizing these remarkable wines across Europe. You'll delve into the defining characteristics of the wines produced at this winery since its establishment in the 18th century.

The overall visit will last approximately 30 minutes, excluding the duration of the wine tasting.

Tasting Experiences

During the booking process, you have the option to select from three distinct tasting experiences:

• Tasting of 2 different wines: conclude your visit with a sampling of two unique wines.
• Tasting of 3 wines: in addition to the winery tour, indulge in three different wines at the conclusion.
• Tasting of 3 premium wines, chocolate, and cheese: at the close of your tour, savor three high-quality wines paired with chocolate and cheese.

Children Under 18

Young visitors aged 6 to 17 will be provided with orange juice, though no food items (including cheese or chocolate) will be offered. Children below the age of 6 can partake in the complimentary visit without any charge for beverages.
