Are you passionate about the great outdoors? Join us for a bird watching experience in Minca, where you'll explore the incredible biodiversity of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta.

Bird Watching Experience in Minca

Your journey begins with a pick-up from your accommodation between 5:00 and 5:30 am, as we head towards the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, a majestic mountain range located in northern Colombia. Following a scenic 45-minute drive, we will reach Minca, where an introduction to the day's itinerary will be provided, along with the necessary binoculars.

Once we are ready, we will embark on a three-hour trek along a beautiful trail, immersing ourselves in the surrounding nature. Keep a sharp lookout! You might spot toucans, hummingbirds, and owls as we encounter up to 40 species of birds throughout our journey!

Have you ever spotted a flycatcher? Or perhaps a Santa Marta parakeet? We will share fascinating details about these endemic birds native to Minca and guide you on how to identify them.

After our enriching bird watching adventure, we will return to our vehicle for the ride back to your hotel, arriving in Santa Marta between 9:00 and 9:30 am.
