Your adventure begins with a hotel pickup scheduled between 5:00 and 5:30 am, leading us toward the stunning Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, a prominent mountain range in northern Colombia. Following a scenic 45-minute drive, we will reach Minca, where we'll outline the day's journey and hand out binoculars for optimal viewing.

As we introduce ourselves, the exploration will kick off with a three-hour trek along a lush trail, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the surrounding flora and fauna. Stay alert, as you may spot toucans, hummingbirds, and owls among the trees—expect to identify up to 40 different species of birds throughout this captivating route!

Have you ever encountered a flycatcher or a Santa Marta parakeet? Our expert guides will share fascinating insights into these unique endemic birds of Minca and provide you with tips on how to recognize them.

After an inspiring three hours of bird watching, we will return to our vehicle for the ride back to your accommodation. We anticipate arriving back in Santa Marta between 9:00 and 9:30 am.
