Gramado & Canela Day Trip
Description
Experience charming alpine chalets, Bavarian-style architecture, and breathtaking waterfalls on this day trip to Gramado and Canela, two enchanting towns located within Brazil's Serra Gaucha that are essential to explore!
Day Trip Overview
At the scheduled time, our team will meet you at your hotel to embark on this excursion through Gramado and Canela, celebrated attractions in the Serra Gaucha.
Our first stop will be the portico, a striking entrance to the city, showcasing captivating Bavarian-inspired design that highlights the strong German influence present in Gramado since the 1800s.
Afterward, we will head to Black Lake, a stunning man-made lagoon that has emerged as one of the top destinations in Gramado. This charming spot derives its name from the lush vegetation that envelops it, thanks to Rosenfeldt, a prominent local figure who introduced flora from the German Black Forest.
You will immerse yourself in local customs at two notable factories in Gramado: one focusing on chocolate and the other on Cristais de Gramado. Subsequently, we will stop by the Germanic Portico before exploring Mini Mundo, a delightful family park filled with miniature versions of famous international landmarks.
We will then offer you a one-hour break to savor lunch at a nearby restaurant.
Reenergized, we will proceed to Canela, particularly to the Don Collise winery, where you can relish a delightful wine and cheese tasting for 40 minutes, a perfect treat for gastronomy enthusiasts.
Next, we will appreciate the spiritual legacy of Canela through a visit to the church of Our Lady of Lourdes, followed by a trip to one of the area's highlights: Caracol Park. This beautiful natural setting features the magnificent Caracol waterfall, soaring to an impressive height of approximately 130 meters (426 ft), surely a visual feast!
Finally, we will visit the Chocolate Gramadense factory for a tour of its facilities, where you will discover the chocolate-making process and indulge in delightful tastings.
After a fulfilling day, we will return you to the drop-off location, concluding our journey after approximately 9 hours.
