Your journey begins at a designated meeting point in Lima, where our team will collect you before heading north towards Sayán.
This town is renowned for being the home of the alfajor. On our visit, we'll share stories about the origins of this delightful sweet as we embark on a guided exploration of Sayán. During the tour, highlights include the main plaza, the historic Church of San Jerónimo, and the residence of the celebrated liberator, José de San Martín.
Continuing our adventure, we will travel to Churin, pausing at its entrance for a visit to the intriguing Mamahuarmi Cave. Here, we'll discover the enchanting legend of Princess Shumac while wandering through this captivating site.
Upon arriving in Churin, we will explore a fish farm and allow time for you to enjoy lunch at your leisure. Afterward, a guided tour of Churin will follow, featuring a visit to its central square, the stunning 16th-century colonial church, and the monument to Mamahuarmi. Following the tour, you'll have some free time to shop for souvenirs.
To conclude the day, we will visit the Tingo Thermal Complex, located just a short distance from Churin. This site is famed for its natural hot springs, rich in sulphur, iron, and lithium, making them ideal for relieving conditions like rheumatism and arthritis, as well as for skin rejuvenation. Enjoy some time to unwind in the therapeutic natural pools.
As the day wraps up, we will begin our return trip to Lima, with an estimated drop-off back at your meeting point around 10 PM.
