Hiking Tour of Gorica Hill

We will gather in front of the Mangalemi Hotel in Berat at the designated time to embark on our hike up Gorica hill. This journey reconnects us with nature as we delve into the picturesque inland region of Albania.

Our trek begins as we depart from the historic heart of Berat, catching the first rays of sunlight and gradually making our way into the lush fields surrounding the acclaimed city of a thousand windows.

As we ascend, prepare for stunning panoramic vistas of Berat - be sure to have your cameras ready! From our vantage point on the hill, you can fully appreciate the neighborhood across the river, Mangalem, in its entirety.

This area is celebrated for its charming stone residences. Up here, we’ll observe the architecture characterized by its distinct rectangular windows. Continuing along our path, we’ll traverse expansive fields of flowers and vines on our way to the summit of Gorica hill!

We'll take a moment for photographs before descending down the other side of the hill. Here, we’ll be treated to an extraordinary view of the surrounding valleys, known for their oil and wine production. Our route also leads us past the iconic Gorica Bridge, a true emblem of Berat.

The hike concludes as we return to our starting point after approximately six hours.
