Your adventure will commence with a pickup from your accommodation in La Fortuna at 7:30 am. A scenic bus ride of approximately one and a half hours will take us through the charming San Carlos Plains and the breathtaking Juan Castro Blanco National Park until we arrive at the town near the renowned Laguna de Hule.

This extraordinary lagoon lies at the base of the Congo Volcano. Crafted from clay and volcanic rock, it presents a splendid environment for hiking while admiring the diverse landscapes. We will kick off our journey by wandering through the grasslands encircling the volcanic crater and then venture down into the vibrant green forest. Along this 5-mile route, we will encounter the three volcanic lakes that initially shaped the crater.

This 3-hour trek is sure to stimulate our appetites, leading us to the home of a local family who will serve us an authentic traditional lunch. Following this enriching cultural experience, we will head back to your hotel in La Fortuna, anticipated to arrive around 4:30 pm.
