Day Tour of the Delta del Ebro with Boat Excursion
We will convene at 3:30 pm at the Tourist Office in Peñíscola, located near the beach. From this point, we will embark on an hour-long journey to the stunning natural landscape of the Delta del Ebro, where an exploration of this region's most remarkable sites awaits us by boat!
Upon arrival at the natural park, we'll board our vessel to commence a 50-minute exploration around Buda Island. During our trip, interesting insights about the geographical features of this unique reserve will be shared. Did you know that the wetlands' waters are abundant in crustaceans? Many of the traditional dishes in this region utilize these ingredients. We will also uncover historical details about the island that explain its name.
As we continue to traverse the rice fields, a closer look at these age-old cultivations will reveal their practices. Be on the lookout for various birds, including flamingos, herons, and gulls.
Upon returning to land, we will take a short excursion to the Ecomuseum to deepen our understanding of the conservation significance of the Delta del Ebro.
In conclusion, we will journey back to Peñíscola, arriving around 7:30 pm.
