Sanctuary of Nuestra Señora de las Lajas Excursion
Your journey will begin at 10 am, when we will collect you from your hotel in Pasto for a scenic two-hour drive to Ipiales. Prepare to delve into the fascinating story behind the Sanctuary of Nuestra Señora de las Lajas!
Throughout the tour, you will discover various elements of the history, culture, and geography of the Pasteño community. Upon arrival, a guided exploration of the temple awaits you, showcasing its stunning neo-gothic architectural style!
Next, we will enjoy a leisurely stroll around the area and take in the breathtaking views of the Guaitara Canyon via cable car. Afterward, we will hop back into the vehicle and proceed to the renowned Tulcán cemetery, famous worldwide for its intricate topiary art.
Laguna de la Cocha Excursion
Your day will start with a pickup from your hotel in Pasto at 9 am. We will embark on a journey towards the department of Putumayo. After a 40-minute drive, we will arrive at La Cocha Lagoon, recognized as the second-largest lake in Colombia!
We'll meander along the shores of this stunning glacial lake, passing through the quaint village of El Puerto and admiring the charming Swiss-style wooden homes.
A visit to a local family farm will allow you to explore their orchards and organic crops. Following this engaging experience, we will enjoy a meal made from fresh farm produce. To conclude the excursion, we will return to La Cocha Lagoon to board a boat headed to our final destination: La Corota Island!
