Bodega Bouza Tour
Your journey will commence with a pickup from your hotel in Montevideo, followed by a scenic drive to the winery that takes roughly one hour.
Upon arrival, you'll embark on a guided tour lasting 45 minutes throughout the winery and its property. As you stroll through the vineyards, you’ll delve into the rich history of the family that runs this establishment and uncover the intricacies of winemaking. The knowledgeable guide will introduce you to key processes such as pigeage, de-stemming, and malolactic fermentation, turning you into a connoisseur!
You will also explore the underground aging caves, where the wine matures for a period of 6 to 18 months.
Concluding your visit, you can either indulge in a lunch paired with wine or opt for a delightful wine tasting complete with appetizers, based on your preference.
Tasting with Appetizers or Lunch
At the time of booking, you have the choice between a tasting tour featuring 4 wines (3 whites, 1 red) served alongside a cheeseboard, cured meats, and empanadas, or a tour that includes a full lunch. - First course: leek roti with tomato concasse and mustard sauce, a chef's salad, crispy phyllo with tetilla cheese, or ginger prawns. Paired with Riesling 2020, Chardonnay 2021, or Merlot Tannat 2019.
- Main course: Bouza baby beef with gratin dauphinois and tannat reduction, Sugarloaf Hampshire Down lamb with ratatouille and mild garlic sauce, grilled salmon with seasonal vegetables and citrus sauce, or sorrentinos stuffed with leek and mushrooms.
