After collecting you from your hotel in Montevideo at the scheduled time, we'll begin our journey towards the region of Canelones. When we arrive, you'll see that this is one of the main wine-producing regions in Uruguay. What's so special about the wine here you might ask? We'll find out!

Our guided tour of the Juanicó Winery will begin with a warm welcome from the oenologist. Then, we'll begin to discover every detail of the art of Uruguayan winemaking.

We'll walk through the long expanses of the Juanicó vineyards and learn about the history of this family winery. We'll hear detailed explanations of the cellar, the grape harvest and of course, the vinification. What's the science behind all of this?

Then the moment will have arrived: the tasting of 4 wines! The tasting will be carried out in 3 phases. We'll begin with the young wines and then continue with more mature and stronger wines.

We'll bring this activity to an end back at the hotels in Montevideo after a total of 3 hours together.

Tour Options

When booking, you can choose between two different options:

• Tour with 4-Wine Tasting: This option includes a tasting of the following wines: Atlántico Sur Rosé, Atlántico Sur Albariño, Atlántico Sur Tannat, and Botrytis Noble. To enhance the experience, the wines will be paired with a cheese board, fresh bread, and olive oils from the Deicas family. This tour starts at 9:00 am.
• Tour with Lunch and 4-Wine Tasting: This option features the same selection of wines mentioned above. The highlight of this choice is a full lunch prepared with seasonal, regional products. This tour starts at 12:00 pm.

How does it work?

The experience begins with hotel pickup in Montevideo at your selected time. After the journey to the Canelones region, you'll be greeted by the oenologist at the Juanicó Winery, who will guide you through the vineyard and cellar to share insights into the winemaking process.

This activity includes:

• Hotel pickup and drop-off in Montevideo
• Guided tour of the Juanicó Winery
• Tasting of 4 wines (young and mature varieties)
• Optionally, a cheese board and lunch based on the selected tour
