Tour + Tasting of 5 Wines (2 Hours)

Situated in Uruguay's capital, Santa Rosa Winery stands out as one of the nation’s most historic wine production sites. To fully experience its heritage and flavors, we will gather at the winery’s entrance before proceeding to the solera section. This will be our first stop, where we'll learn about the production of Jerez Anticuario, created from a premium white wine.

Following this, we will explore the vineyards where Tannat grapes are cultivated. Did you know this winery cultivates a unique strain of these grapes? We’ll discuss this fascinating fact as we make our way to the fermentation and bottling area.

Next, we will visit the cellar, home to barrels that have aged for nearly 80 years. Additionally, in this underground space, you will see the original painting of Santa Rosa de Lima, one of Latin America's most venerated saints.

Our final stop will be at the winery's museum, San Javier, dating back to 1820. Immersed in history and iconic viniculture artifacts, we'll proceed to the eagerly anticipated wine tasting led by a wine connoisseur.

Our palates will be treated to five remarkable wines: the local Medio y Medio, a Chateau Fond de Cave, a classic Cabernet, a Tannat Fond de Cave, and a bubbly semi-dry Fond de Cave. This tasting will be complemented by a cheese platter, cured meats, and delicious local empanadas. Cheers!

Tour + Tasting of 6 Wines and 1 Spirit (2 Hours)

This option features the same tour itinerary as outlined previously. However, during the wine tasting session at the museum, participants will enjoy 6 selected wines along with 1 spirit.

The tasting will include a Medio y Medio, a Premium Sauvignon Blanc, a Chardonnay Fond de Cave, a Merlot Fond de Cave, a Tannat from the museum, a bubbly semi-dry Fond de Cave, and a traditional spirit styled after Jerez Anticuario. These selections will also be served with a cheese board, cured meats, and classic empanadas. A wonderful experience!

Tour + Lunch + Tasting of 6 Wines and 1 Spirit (3 Hours)

For those wanting to enhance their experience at Santa Rosa Winery, this option offers the most comprehensive package. After completing the winery tour, we will engage in the same wine tasting of 6 wines and 1 spirit in the museum as mentioned before.

The pinnacle of this experience will be a delightful 3-course lunch paired with the selected wines. The menu will be seasonal, crafted from fresh ingredients. Bon appétit!
